About Us

We’re Livia and Louisa, the founders of West 4th. We’ve been friends since we met aged 11 at school, and have long dreamt of starting a business together. Having both worked in hospitality when we were younger, we then ended up in the corporate world for a few years - Livia working in Corporate Social Responsibility for a UK bank and Louisa working as a Business Analyst for a fashion brand.

At the beginning of 2019 we decided to take a plunge, quit our desk jobs and move to Vancouver! Whilst we were there we worked both front and back of house in the restaurant of a members club, spending our free time travelling (and eating our way!) around Canada and North America. We loved so many aspects of the hospitality scene there that we thought would work in London, and so the idea for West 4th was born.

‘West 4th’ is one of the most popular, vibrant streets in Vancouver where people gather to socialise after a day spent on the beach or skiing on a local mountain. We wanted to emulate Vancouver's relaxed and friendly feel at West 4th. We hope you think we’ve managed to do so!
